About the institute : To promote technical education in this backward area, adjoining Haryana, Govt. of Punjab initially established the institute as a Government Polytechnic College, Lehragaga in 1996. Later on, in 2005, the Institute was given an autonomous status and launched as a unique Punjab Govt established Institute to run Diploma and Degree level programs in Engineering and renamed as Baba Hira Singh Bhattal Institute of Engg & Technology, Lehragaga. The Institute derives its name from the great revolutionary during the freedom struggle of India, the renowned freedom fighter of “Parja Mandal Movement” Baba Hira Singh Ji Bhattal. The institute cherishes the same desire of selfless and committed service towards the motherland by imparting quality technical education to the masses in a non-profitable manner.

Basis of admission : Admission/Scholarship is strictly on the basis of JEE (Mains) / 10+2 marks

Scholarship

Rs.30,000/- per annum for 10+2 score of 80% and above

Rs.25,000/- per annum for 10+2 score of 70% to 79.9%

Rs.20,000/- per annum for 10+2 score of 60% to 69.9%
